Somebody really wanted a pike swaty guess they care enough to search for more as swaty like this one are always available for a fraction of what he paid for..........

No, I have it on good authority that, having depleted the stocks of the norton hones, the Aussie Axe Men are moving on to Swatys now. The reason they targeted this one was the name "Pike", which the Aussie Axe Man knows has a relationship to Norton. Mark my words, you will see this more and more in the coming years.

At least with vintage naturals, I understand that there is a demographic which 'needs' a particular stone. Like Rabbis who are required by their religion to use them. Or Japanese toshigi who finish their swords on them. I get that. Dwindling supply, unchanged demand -> prices go up.

Playing the same game for synthetic stones is just asinine.
Especially for the purpose of honing an axe.

Two possible scenarios: 1. Somebody is watching this swaty sell, and aiming for a precision snipe. He gets excited with 3 seconds left and quickly pounds what he thinks is 14.25 into the bid box and confirm bid...oops..a zero that never should have been.
2: Scenario two is some poor guy like me who can NEVER get the stinking thing bought cause there is always someone who will bid 3 cents higher than me with 2 seconds left just got fed up, and bid an astronomical amount in order to finally have something he's been trying to buy for months.

PS:It wasn't me...I found mine for 6...minus the pike swaty logo...but it IS red at least.

Whoa, I have seen $25 to $30 which may be a bit high, but if people see that and the prices will soon go through the roof.
