    Question dubl duck on ebay...

    ...purchased this morning.
eBay Italia - Aste online e shopping a prezzo fisso
I have a Dovo Special tortoise (new) and I am really new to used razors. I should be glad to hear your opinion about this razor and any advice about its (eventual) restoration or else, will be higly appreciated.
    Regards, Lucio.

looks to be pretty clean and even on the hone wear. unless the scales are warped I would say you could get this sharpened and have a fine shaver immediately.

    Overall it looks good.

My only concern is when I see razors with all those scratches-almost gouging on it they don't come from normal use and looks like a razor that might have either been abused or used as some other cutting implement. You'll have to see it when you get it. maybe some light pitting and it can be cleaned up and still be a good shaver if the price is right.

The scratches are from the prior owner cleaning some surface rust off. You can see where it was. He did a poor job of it, typical of an Ebay seller. A quick hand sanding will have it looking better, and a good hone, and you are ready to go. DD Specials are good shavers.
