straight razor with 2 blades?!
e-bay auction
what purpose could this serve other than just being a 'novelty' in its time?

Notice one blade points up and the other points down. Yes sir thats that fanous North South razor which in the hands of a skilled shaver can be used to shave both sides of your face at pretty much the same time. A razor like that can fetch a kings ransom. And if you believe all this...

Thanked: 2Does anyone understand the razor? It seems to have been bought for 1euro. is that correct?
The razor is quite rare and is worth quite a bit. I've seen similar ones pictured.

checking it out for ya Bill. My french isn't all too good but I've contacted the seller to ask him if he still has the item since no-one bid on it.

Let me know if you don't succeed, I do speak French about every day so it's not much of a problem. FiReSTaRT is Canadian, so he undoubtedly speaks French as well. Next time you need something translated you can just ask/send me an e-mail, ok? I'll get on it asap.
Alas, les désavantages de vivre dans un pays tri-lingual!

That's ok, I speak German and Dutch as well. And can understand REAL scottish (not the stuff they do in Braveheart, I'm talking about glaswegian and similar dialects.) I'm tri lingual...almost quadralingual...just not each one is as good as the other one.

Thanked: 2The trouble isn't knowing what the auction is for, it's dealing with the seller afterward!
The auction ended without any bids? Does anyone know if the auction was ended early, or did it run it's course. I doubt that razor would go 7days without a bid.
