Thread: Custom Fancy Dovo on eBay!

For anyone interested, I posted my customized Dovo on eBay. It is a 5/8" Inox blade with custom file work on the spine, customized 3pin scales, with reinforced double-collar pinning at the pivote pin, a silver-metal middle spacer. Also the pin work has no ''nail head' ends, but has been pinned the same on both sides. This had been my 'traveling razor' but I honestly don't travel that much, so it really has not been used that much at all!

Was this one customized by you Chris or did someone else do the work after you bought the razor?

Hey Lynn,

The file work was done after I had bought the razor (by custom knife maker Dave Thompson - the same guy that did the deep file/spine work on the 8/8 Henckels Bill Ellis made custom scales for). The original scales (stainless steel) were removed (long story - short, they were used as liner's for another set of scales), and I replaced them with the Dovo Faux tortise scales. Removed all pins so that they would match on both sides (peened/polished heads), double collared the pivote pin on both sides (similar to Puma razors) and added the third metal middle pin/spacer.

The Razor was set up as my 'travel razor' in which I would not have to worry about the blade and scales. But, I really do not travel much. I'd say I might have used this razor less than 15 times, total.
