Thanked: 4A few weeks ago I won a Gerorge Butler Sheffield razor for 13,50GDP, and ten minutes later I got a message, that the auction I won also the seller is not reliable and the bussiness won't be safety......so ebay tell me not to pay an in any reason and the auction was closed down.
After that my account was suspended for a reinstatement, and until that time I was stuck the razor appeared again and gone for 19,50.

Thanked: 4249I would be willing to bet that the auction was for an escher or thuri or cf, i personally sold a few on ebay, and once you list these
you wouldnt believed the offers pouring in. So that said if your selling an escher and hoping to get a certain amount and get an offer for a lot more, most will sell it right away, and the reality is ebay wont do nothing about it because the transaction was ended and relisted with the buy it now option for the offer and they get their money from the sale + their paypal fee imediately.

There are 2 well known ebay stone sellers that I know of that go around and make offers on stone auctions. I coop with this by making a minimum bid as soon as I see something I like. This usually works. It does hurt to see an item pulled and repop the next week with a hefty starting price.
One time I had bids on a Dalmore Blue and a Water of Ayre when the seller decided to pull them

i have made offers on ebay items when the listings says "offers considered" and gotten them......the 7day set i picked up was like that and the seller said "these 43 ppl watching it aren't gonna be happy" but i will say if i am going to make an offer i make sure i am the high bidder at the time i contact the seller!
