Default $10,000 Japanese Whetstone on the bay??!!

Is anyone familiar with this type of stone? Don't have the link off hand, just search Japanese straight razor and you'll see it quick. Lol

    It must be amazing!

    I assume you mean this:

Japanese natural whetstone nakayama Agasi Karasu Aisa Razor Toishi 4551* | eBay

I've never seen a karasu that blue, or large, but saying us 10,000 seems wild. I have seen retailers with huge Nakayama razor select j-nats for up to 2,800 tho.

Ya those are some huge stones, karasu is also much saught after and drives prices rather high. I don't know much about the seller, only what I've heard from others here and the stones need to be tried to know what they will do for you.

    Thats one HUGE karasu

Don't worry he'll make up the shortfall on the $20,000 one he has for sale.

I don't think it changed he just claimed it was retailing for $10,000 but had it starting at 3,000 and the BIN around 4k. Zero saw it first tho so maybe it was more before?

Looking at the sellers other stones I'm sure I just linked the wrong one, woopps. See the 14,000 dollar kita someone could make a coffee table out of it.

I wonder who has that kind of money to put on a honing stone? If I had that much money I would just pay people to do it?

People put a lot of money into collecting all sorts of things, vintage razors, brushes... Why not rocks ?
