Thread: First Razor Purchased Maxi - Canuck Blades

I am a beginner. I started using a straight razor about one month ago. I received a factory-honed straight razor for a birthday gift and struggled for a week before stumbling upon SRP and realizing that I was starting with the wrong equipment (at least equipment that was not shave ready) and that was as much the problem as was my technique.

I purchased a George Wostenholm, 9/16 razor from Maxi, who also runs Canuck Blades (https://www.sites.google.com/site/razorhoning/home). The razor was beautiful and was ready to go out of the box. I have had great success ever since.

As a seller, he was very quick to ship the razor, and communicated via email to make sure things were as expected. The razor came complete with some simple instructions and an explanation of what was done to the razor.

I had a great experience buying from Maxi-Canuck Blades and if you are new to making a purchase, my two cents is that you can feel comfortable buying from Canuck Blades as well.
