How long to wait before contacting eBay?
So on April 15th I won an auction for what appears to be a 1960s Gillette slim. I paid immediately after the auction closed. Three days later I had no shipping information and sent them a message. Yesterday was eight days after the close of the auction and I sent them another message. I still have not heard back from the seller and was wondering at what point should I contact eBay about the issue?
I imagine the seller wasn't thrilled the razor went for $6 shipped but they have positive feedback on their 30 other sales.

I would contact ebay ASAP . 8 days is more than enough time for the seller to contact you .

I just came up with another idea . Email the seller , and tell them if they don't respond within 24 hours , you are going to leave neg. feedback . I'll bet you'll hear from them , real fast .

Thanked: 8Some items are shipped without showing the tracking, have happend to me many times, and alot of the ppl in on ebay dont respond to mails just cause they dont look for mails, also a problem when some shippment take up to 4 weeks, so then you realy dont know if they have sent it. Annoying, but dont worry, you have paypal and ebay guarantee. If you havent recived it in some time or mail from them, then report and you get it back.

Well it has been 9 days and they're only one state away. So maybe I'll wait until Friday before I send the message threatening negative feedback. On the plus I know where eBay customer support headquarters is (they offered me a job awhile back) so maybe I'll just stop by in person just playing.

Thanked: 247Ebay messaging service is a bit off it seems. I'd give them another friendly heads up before making any threats. You never know what's happening with the person on the other end. There could have been an accident, a family emergency, etc. With only 30 feedbacks, the seller is still relatively new to Ebay I'd say. That's the thing with Ebay. Lot's of times there's just one person on the other end of the transaction. If he or she gets tied up with something, there's nobody to see your email. A good seller would be checking emails daily at least I'd expect. But as before, maybe there was a car accident or something. Never hurts to give them another chance. Either way, you'll get your six bucks or your merchandise eventually. MHO

Why would you threaten? Just ask if the razor has been shipped, and if the seller doesn't respond within a day or two open a dispute. Then they'll be contacted by ebay, the money would be taken from them by paypal, and if they don't respond you will get your money back. You can leave the appropriate feedback when everything is finalized.
I mean, you cannot force the seller to do anything, but if they do not perform to their obligations sooner or later they will be punished by ebay. If they don't care about that there really isn't anything you can do.
No point of getting all wound up over something as insignificant as this - there will always be another razor.
