Default ERN S525b Solingen Silver steel

icked this razor up off ebay a few days ago. Surprised when it arrives it seems to be what you guys would call NOS, mint unsharpened. Well maybe not mint, brcause it has a few black marks on the spine and some 'watermarking' on the blade surface. The box is original to the razor, and is also in good condition.

Is it unusual to find a mint piece? I am slightly unsure whether to hone it or keep it mint?

The sellers photo's do not really do it justice.

Watermarking means it isn't quite mint. Regardless, I say hone it and shave with it. That's what I did with my mint Heljestrand.

I was just pleased it hadn't been used really, it also pleased my gf because shaving with a used razor, even if boiled and sterilised, is gross!

You do see some mint or almost mint (as in unused) razors from time to time - I got a nice one a couple of weeks ago for $10 and just missed out on a mint/minty boker from the same vendor.
