I wish there was something we could do about these types of auctions and all the Zeepk sellers out there. Like some kind of SRP seal of approval that sellers could request.
I wonder if that could work? If newbies were browsing the listings and came across one or two razors with some kind of endorsement from us, maybe they'd get the idea to either visit SRP or view the non-approved sellers with suspicion...
Jush a thought,

Wow. He could use a serious spellcheck, too. But, hopefully people realize by now that a razor with a chip that large out of it is good for absolutely nothing.

Tony, your auctions are a shining example of what an auction SHOULD be like. In a way I'm glad that not all sellers are like you as I get to snag the occasional good bargain from bad auctions (usually from bad photos and because bad sellers made the buyers take "this blade is in a good/great/excellent/nm/mint shape" for granted). Speaking of which I better look into what you have out there. My stepbro wants to go straight and will need a practice piece

How could we make this work? Maybe we could start with all the sellers who are members of SRP.
We all spend enough time on eBay that we could probably police things pretty well. The main problem I'm seeing is enforcement.
Another plus is that this would probably lead to better resale prices for the sellers who were "approved."
Any ideas?

I would not waste too much energy on these guys. They exist for the same reason spam does. It is economically viable.
Look at the original listing that started this post http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...70055238026&ru and you will see that someone bought that razor even though it is worthless. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
There is no way anyone is going to educate or change these people. Although it may be therapeutic to try but in the end it is like pissing on your own leg--it makes you feel warm and does not accomplish anything either.
