Thanked: 66Wow I did not know it was S.R. Droesher. I honestly did not know what SRD stood for... I picked it up from my sisters Antique store because it reminded me of straight razor designs. And I mainly wanted to post a photo here for my fellow friends to get a chuckle out of.
What's funny is I originally posted it with a $40 BIN just to get my money back. And within 5 minutes of putting it on eBay I got a message from someone, telling me it is worth way more than $40 and I should let it ride out with an auction. I guess We shall see. I kinda suck at things like this...

Thanked: 3795The thread is 3.5 years old. In reference to your question, SRD sold both synthetic and natural hones. I'm not familiar with that particular hone and the photo only shows the strop side (I think) so there is no way to know about the hone.
The OP did get a little misled by his advice. The hone may have been worth "way more than $40" but it only sold for $36.

I figured that regardless of the thread age, it was still topical and maybe others have experience with this particular model.
That's the hone side, I am wondering if this is similar to the ambihone line, vs the relabeled naturals.
If anyone knew or had good picture of ambihone surface, that'd be helpful.. Thanks
