One thousand dollars for a W&B? That guy thinks too highly of his razor. He should just keep it.

He is playing the lottery. Hoping for one of those 'born every minute' that PT Barnum talked about.

I remember seeing this razor posted here, and it really is a looker. And to be fair, he states in the auction that he WANTED to do "Make Offer"
I bet if anybody were seriously interested, and made him a fair offer, he would consider it. Now, if only we knew what a fair offer would be! =D

I believe one of the members here bought that razor a short while back and posted several pics of it.

It's a nice one, but WAY too tall for me.

On one hand, how many NOS pristine razors like this are there?

On the other, how much is that worth to you?

Personally I'd rather have one with a couple scratches on it so I could enjoy it the way it was intended to be used.

Nothing against collectors of safe queens...I am just not there with my collecting.

I'd regret selling that even for $1000. Doubt it will move though.

It's back on ebay for $750. Perhaps it isnt worth that much, but on the other hand, it's worth as much as someone is prepared to pay for it. I'm sure he would consider a sensible offer, but too pricey for me.

Did you gents notice the listing says "new" whereas it is so evident the blade has heavy signs of cleaning?
    Also look at the shank.
