Thanked: 116Vintage King Cutter H. Boker & Solingen - French Ivory Straight Razor
UGH! So I haven't even received my order from ebay and I've made another purchase....
$30 for this guy seemed like a good deal! I'm done buying until the 6 previous arrive and I get more practice!
Any thoughts on my purchase and the quality of this razor?

IME Boker King Cutters are darn good shavers. The seller's photos are fuzzy or dark if they are in focus. If the blade isn't corroded at the bevel it ought to be good. Might not clean up shiny without losing the gold wash but certainly worthwhile if it hones up to be a good shaver. IMHO.

Thanked: 116The seller is actually from my home town just outside Toronto, Ontario. They had fewer pictures posted and I requested more. Then after they posted more, and like you, noticed they were blurry, I gave them a lowball offer. I was surprised they accepted and they relisted the item for me to purchase. My buddy IRONSIDEGNR lent me a honing stone and some other stone to create a slurry on it to practice honing before I get my new blade. Hopefully I can figure this out

Looks good,
Seems to be in good shape too! It should clean up nice, and I'm sure it'll take a good edge.
Let me know when you're ready.Through the mud and the blood, to the green fields beyond.
