Thanked: 1195That's not too surprising. They are a sought-after razor and increasingly rare. TBH I thought the Le Grelot in the other recent thread didn't sell for that much in the scheme of things, but the seller obviously thought it did. YOMV.

I might be mistaken, but I do believe the seller is a member here, so congratulations to both the seller and the new owner who thought it was worth it.

Yes, that's another of my collection going to a new home. The price surprised me as well. I thought it might fetch around $150 but $355 was very unexpected. It is a very rare razor though. I do still have another worked spine Le Grelot that I'm keeping.

Damn it I don't have a camera!
I've got 2 beautiful Le Grelot razors, one with a worked spine, vines I believe it is, the other a heavy "357".
Also got the paste to go with them "Le Grelot Pate a Rasoir" "a base d'aluminocyline",
Haven't tried it yet but I will, the razors are perfect shavers tho.
