Is anyone else tempted to buy a crate full of these "rare" antiques from one of the many sellers online and travel around to various historical site, wedging them in crevices, burying them with just a bit poking out, etc., *just* to mess with people?

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

I thought, that if I win it, I'll send it out to Vegas & have Max clean it up a little; then we can raffle it off on SRP.

Serves you right if you win it.

When I die (in 100 years time or more) I want to be burried at a remote site in armor, and with some weapons in my hand.
And then a small plaque, saying that here lies the conqueror of the known world, Lord of all.
When I'll be found a thousand years later, the historians have something to think about
Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

It sold for $24 ! This proves , that on ebay , the only thing that exceeds the audacity of some of the sellers , is the ignorance of some of the buyers .

    Damn, I didn't win it.
Another of life's great opportunities has just passed me by.
I know Max will be disappointed that he did not get to restore that treasure.

Or relieved that he'll be spared the momentary images flashing in his mind of soldiers in olden garb...
He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.
