Which should I work on first?
Just won these on Ebay:

which should I try to learn the art of honing on first? and why would you start with that particular one?

Thanked: 346The Bengall. It's lost its heel, so there's not much you can do to hurt it further. Plus they take a great edge.

It also looks to have the most general wear so I was wondering if that might not make a good learner.

That Bengal is where you should start. Once you get a feel for it then mov on to the other two. I think you made out real well scout.

Thanked: 1I am in agreement. The Bengall. It has a tapered blade and the heel is gone as Park said. It is still servicable and if you make mistakes along the way, it's no big deal.
