So who's got $40?
I was poking about the antiques section of my local craigslist and got all excited at the headline "Straight Razors-$40" . I was wondering if the seller had multiples razors for $40 each or a couple of razors for $40 total. So I clicked the ad and was excited then I read the text: Five straight razors and two straight razor boxes............$40.00..............ALL". So then I scrolled down to the pics and had a sad.
So I had to share it with you:

Whoa . . . that picture's enough to make ya loose your breakfast. Must have used them to do a bit of rock sculpting. Think I'll keep those 2 twenties in my pocket.
Any day on this side of the flowers is a good day!

To be frank and 100 pecent honest.
i would only spend 1 dollar on all of them personally.
I guess if you ground the nicks out.
you could test stones with them.
to make sure your stones flaws.
like lower grit stuff right in the middle that would nick any
pricise blade. It's not a bad idea to have test razors.

heck, you guys need more skills at this stuff. Getting those razors shave ready is child's play.
I started with the first and after a hour I had the second:No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Thanked: 247I thought you guys were being a little harsh then I realized there were other images that showed them in the open position. Wow! What a shame.
I find SR prices to be pretty interesting at times...sometimes when someone realizes that they have a 100 year old razor, the assume it ought to be worth quite a bit (Sometimes perhaps, but not always)

Looks like the seller tried to 'save' one of the razors by putting a tourniquet on the scales.
