    Mine has a couple of nicks in the blade to.
    But that will come out when i set the bevel on it.
    I think it will give me a nice shave after i hone it up.
    thinking about using a medium idain to get the bevel nice.
    They do cut good. Then a fine water stone then coticule then clean arkansas.
    Can you jump from a coticule to clear arkansas got a good shave doing it like
    that the other day.

    If you feel compelled to use a file (post heat treat) you must REALLY like a challenge.

    I find it precious that the seller states that it is very rare, then welcomes information regarding the piece.
