Thanked: 56Sometimes, you just gotta look ... and laugh a little ... then think "really?"

"The red stuff is the old paint they used to probably protect it, and some tarnish that can be cleaned right off...razor comes shave ready" Awesome stuff man
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

Mine has a couple of nicks in the blade to.
But that will come out when i set the bevel on it.
I think it will give me a nice shave after i hone it up.
thinking about using a medium idain to get the bevel nice.
They do cut good. Then a fine water stone then coticule then clean arkansas.
Can you jump from a coticule to clear arkansas got a good shave doing it like
that the other day.

If you feel compelled to use a file (post heat treat) you must REALLY like a challenge.
I find it precious that the seller states that it is very rare, then welcomes information regarding the piece.
