    Default Dixie Blue Steel

There are many dixie razors that come up for auction. Most of them going for 15-25 bucks (unrestored and not shave ready). There is one Dixie in particular, it actually says "Dixie Blue Steel" on one side of the tang, and dixie razor manufacturing, Union Ga on the other side. I lost one of these that belonged to my grandfather. Is there any reason this razor goes for way more than the other dixie's? I'de like to get another one out of sentimental value but are they worth going over 55 bucks?

I got a razor with the Dixie box such a cool box.
but the bummer is the razor is not marked Dixie.
It's marked someplace in new york.
Blue Steel is a good steel though for razors.
they get a nice edge on them.
but always dry them and keep them oiled they tend to rust easily.
I got a razor that was made in pittsburg with blue steel. I clean
the rust off sharpen it up. Then shave without even stroping the blade.
might be getting better at shaving with them though.
