A bit miffed
I just bought this on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...9870&rd=1&rd=1
Did not pay lots for it, and thought I might have gotten a pretty good deal for a set of razors. Even was pleased when I looked them over. But when I began to take each one out of the box and examine the blade, I noticed that one blade had scotch tape on it--it had been there so long that the tape was really tough to get off. The the shocking reality of why scotch tape--the blade had a chip out of it the size of a nickel.
I have written the seller about the issue, but have not gotten any response. Will let you know the response.

Thanked: 9In my book, you got an outstanding deal. 130 for 6 nice swedish steel razors with the thumb notch and ivory scales and one extra set of scales.
You are also right to expect that the chip should be mentioned, of course. If you are that unhappy, I'll take it off your hands and sell off 5-6 (as I only want 1 of them) for me. Or, you might actually want to sell me one? PM me if interested
Cheers

Ivo - I agree that this is a great deal for 6 Swedes with ivory scales, but not necessarily a great deal if you wanted a complete 7-day set.
Having said that, if you think the remaining 6 razors are in good shape, I would negotiate a discount (after all, you did pay for 7 razors in good condition) and either keep them and have a short set of very nice razors or keep one or two and sell the others (and keep the box). If the razors are in good shape, you can turn a profit such that you keep a razor, the case and nice set of scales (assuming they can be salvaged) for basically nothing.
I agree with Ivo that there would be a lot of people who would be willing to take some nice Swede with ivory scales off of your hands for a reasonable price.
Look at this as an opportunity in disguise!

After my post I have gotten over my disappointment. I think they are going wo be very good shavers. The first one I shaved with was simply stropped and the shave excellent. The next two won't require much more than a touch up on the 8K to get them shave ready. am working through the set one by one to see just how well they will shave.
I was just a bit disappointed, but all in all I agree--I got a steal.

Keep your eyes peeled too....
You might find a replacement blade for that chipped one, on eBay.
Good luck, and great set!

I can understand your dissapointment. A set of matched razors is a set of matched razors, and if one is damaged, then it isn't really a set. I wouldn't break it up, though, since it will be easier to find one replacement blade then an entire new complete seven-day set.
