yea, that's aluminum. Sterling always has a hallmark on it somewhere. Also, sterling doesn't tarnish like that.

Where in the world can you get good platinum for a dollar?
Sometimes you just have to sacrifice like I did on my bid & toss in the $13.78.

I collect silver and gold, and that is not silver.
It looks like pewter. Its probably not even plated.
Even it was sterling, the German sterling standard is 80% whereas everyone else is 90-92.5%
