Default Deceptive practice if you ask me

    This auction, ending now.....
Vintage CIX Lockwood Brother Straight Razor | eBay

Question was asked "is this the same razor from last week" If you look for the guys completed auctions, you will see he used the same photos for both auctions. I dont know about anybody else, but when I look at a photo, I expect it to be of the item I am bidding on, unless it clearly states "stock photo"
I refused to bid more to try and win an unknown.

I guess it's a common practice amongst some sellers. There was a former ebay seller that had the curious habit of listing the same razor every couple of month and the auctions always ended with a sale. I questioned the seller about whether the razor or pictures were the same as his previous auctions. They responded with a succinct yes and that was all. The person never even bothered to change the photos each time it sold.* Buyer/bidder beware.

*Said razor "sold" at least three times that I had either bidded or watched the auction.

He says he had 2 of the same razor which may or may not be true. You can only go with your gut feeling.

It appears to me that he split up the set since the first razor came with a double case. It would be unfortunate if that's what happened. It's disappointing to see sets separated.

I would rather make less money on the single deal than split them up, but I'm not a good businessman either!

Anybody else been watching this one? Massive Huge Wade and Butcher 9 8 Excellent Condition Over 1 inch Look | eBay

It's been forcefully ended a couple times now. Says 9/8 in the title, but the seller had a pic with a ruler and looked more like 15/16. Upon asking he said it was a little over an inch. Strangely enough, after relisting the picture with the ruler on the blade was gone, but the one with the ruler on the scales is still there.
