So this is why there is never any talk of hair cuts ? Everybody sells on the bay which causes them to pull their hair out?

Exactly why I always start with a minimum bid, so no matter what I atleast break even. I never star the bid at 0, thats usualy when people wait to the last minute to bid , and get whatever for as little or next to nothing as possible. If my min bid is too much for someone, then so be it, the next person might be just fine with it.
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

I gave up on selling on eBay when they jacked the selling fees up too high few years back.

You just price that it right into the auction. There's no listing fee now, so if it doesn't sell, it's no sweat off your ass. Take your minimum price, and add 10% to cover PP and Ebay.

Having said that, I don't sell razors on ebay. I sold a couple of shave ready razors, Bob told Jim and now I have a waiting list of people wanting razors.
One time, in band camp, I shaved with a Gold Dollar razor.
