    Is the blade installed backwards?

With in the last week, may be 2, I saw a razor on eBay with a 'Shark' similar to this one. Went back in 'search' and couldn't find it.
Think you may be right that the blade may have originally had a different scale.

It's a E.A. Berg blade shoved the wrong way around into a C.V. Heljestrand frame. It probably doesn't fit the right way around (too short blade), which is why the seller, for some strange reason, decided to jam it in there the other way around. Or at least that's how it seems to me.

This frameback design was very popular and most of the Swedish razor makers did their rendition of the model. Engström, Heljestrand, Berg, Söderén, Modin, etc. Although I have not seen a Hellberg or Törnblom.

Yes, couldn't put my finger on why it looked so wrong!
