Great score Kees. Nothing really, just wipe it down with alcohol (inside the scales and out), hone it and enjoy

    Question

He is sending it with USPS global priority mail. Does that come with insurance and if not: hhow do I take out insurance against theft/loss etc.?

Thanks for your help. I am an ebay newbie!

Insurance should have been an option at the time you paid.

So it was you on the Jernbolaget... I really wanted this one.

For the C&S - I don't think you paid too much, for this condition, the current market, and the great shavers that they are (I am just relating what I heard, I honed mine easily but have not tested yet).

    Cheers

    Looks like a beauty!!
I've won several razors on ebay, never took out insurance on the item and never had any problems!!
If he doesn't offer insurance I dont know that you can do anything on your end.

I did not get the Jernbolaget , did yoo outbid me? For an unknown brand I felt price became to high, moreover the pics weren't that clear. I especially liked the box!

    Default Insurance

I don't recall where I've heard this, but from what I can remember, the USPS will offer anyone insurance for any amount but when you go to collect (if there is proof of damage), they refuse to pay out on antiques. So, I will only insure if it's a brand new razor.
    Thoughts, experiences??
