Very Rare Swaty
Just a heads up, I already have one and I know that there is at least 1 other member here who has one, but these long nearly 8" Swaty's are pretty cool. All the great touch up features of the Swaty, with the ease of use like a Norton. Once again, I am getting no kick back from this seller, just thought I'd mention it here.
Oh yeah, here's the link.

Thanked: 9I notice it's a two-line Swaty (supposedly not as good as the 3-line - but I only have a shorter 3-line so cannot compare)
Hope it goes cheap

TWO THINGS:
1) It wasn't my intent to discourage any one from bidding by posting the above post - bid away, snipe away, and let the high bidder win!
2) What's a 2-line Swaty vs a 3-line Swaty, and how can you tell, and where can I get a 5-line Swaty?
Thanks-

Well, Good Grief! That's IT????? 2-lines of text VS 3-lines of text???? No secret code??? No special markings??? No natural grain??? Just whether this guy has 2-lines in his freakin' address instead of 3???
SH-E-E-E-E-S-H, I don't even want to tell you how much time I've spent squinting at fuzzy little eBay pictures of Swaty's, trying to discern faint little grain lines in the face of the hones, in the side faces, looking for engraved markings, rating-slashes, whatever.....
a-h-h-h-h......man!
gawd, I hate bein' stupid!

There's a little blurb about this in my Barbers handbook (I think mine is from 1958). Anyway, it talks about Swaty's being great hones, but the 3 line Swaty's are more sought after because they were made by the old man. When he passed away, the recipe for making these was also gone, but his son took over the business and started making them again. The book doesn't specify if one is better than the other, only that some "old school" barbers only went after the 3 line versions.
