Default Has anyone else has problems posting to Germany?

I've posted three old safety razors to ebay customers in Germany in the last few weeks and all 3 have resulted inebay claims for non delivery. I'm not sure what the problem is with the German post but I'm going to be out of pocket around $200. I post literally hundreds of razors every year to the US, the UK, France and the Scandinavian countries without a problem but these three will now be four in total that I've now had issues with to Germany this year. All of my auctions will now be marked as no postage to Germany.

No, I have never had problems with Germany, check the feedback of the buyer, and ask ebay if he did this to other sellers, it may be a bad guy in good country.

I have heard German customs can be real Na... uh, difficult about the paperwork on incoming stuff anyway.
One time, in band camp, I shaved with a Gold Dollar razor.

The German Customs can be very annoying, cause every Packet that reaches Germany from outside the EU will be controlled and if the content is more than ca. 22€ Worth the Buyer has to pay additional taxes (20% including the shipping qoutes), for that case the customs will contact the buyer and the buyer has to come to the custom service station (for me that will be a ride of 30km) with bill and all documents to pay the tax (this counts also for gifts, german customs are really relentless).
This procedure can take some time and for some workers its nearly impossible to go to the customs service station just because of their opening times, i guess theres no country on the earth thats so grabby like my fatherland

Yea, pretty much summarizes the frigamaroll that my cousin went through years ago when I sent her a gift. Grabby is an understatement.

    OT rant.

What you have described here is a blueprint of how things are done here as well.
The only thing you'd need to change for it to be a 100% copy is to change the 20% you guys are blessed with, and put in 25% instead...
So yeah, take comfort in not being the worst out there

My experience with Deutschepost when I lived in germany about 15 years ago was that it's one of the slowest postal services I've encountered, very comparable to Posteitaliane.

This being said the few razors and hones I've mailed to Germany several years ago arrived without a problem. I used priority and express mail on them though. Could be a recent thing.
