    Default Geo. Wostenhom & son

Hey i just purchased my first straight razor. Its a Geo. Wostenholm & son sheffield england. Seems to be in pretty good shape, i bought it cheap from a small antique shop. I am wondering if any of you are familiar with the brand. Its a french tip and seems like its a half hollow blade, im gonna try my luck at honing it, but im just wondering if its a half decent brand. all insight is appreciated

It's a good brand. I've got a Wostenholm "Celebrated" quarter hollow that is a very good shaver.

I've got a Geo. Wostenholm IXL on its way to Fud to be honed. Also have a Geo Wostenholm pocket knife. IXL is a good brand, you didn't go wrong with it.

I believe vlad is in montreal, but, I think he's been pretty busy lately, and I'm not sure if he does honing. Should you want to, you can ship it out to me (in Toronto) and I can hone it for you. All you'd have to do is send a few bux my way to pay for postage back home to you. I'm hessitant to use normal letter post and usually just ship xpresspost to those in Canada though.

I have one Wostenholm, a "Peerless". It's a very nice shaver.

I have a couple of the Wostenholm "true pipe" razors, and they perform very well.

I'll put in another vote for GW & Sons razors. I've honed several of them. They take a nice edge and shave well.

Great razors. Shaved with a few myself and got great shaves. Never heard a bad thing about them.

If you want to pay postage I'll keen it up for you.
