Thread: The New Guy

I would like to tell everybody hi.

I am have been wanting to start using a straight razor for some time now as my facial hair is extremely course I duel out Gillette razors after only 1 1/2 shaves i get half way throught the second one and it goes from shaving to pulling hair.

But I do not know were to start like all straight razors the "forgive me for this" the same or do they have certain types of blade for certain types of hair.

And thanks again for welcoming me to the forum.

You have already started by joining the forum.

If I could answer your question in this post we could close most of the forum down and all go home.

The next step for you is to start with the basics and read the forums and your quest will be rewarded. The basics to start are a razor and some soap and a strop and a brush. So that's where you start on those individual forums.

The members are there waiting for you.

Ditto on reading. Read up on and research all the info you can. Lots of useful info on this site and others. Also important to start slowly and not expect too much in the beginning.
