If you have $20, buy Lynn's DVD. He goes through every step, step by step in great detail. It is explicit and detailed. Not only that, you can rewind and watch it over and over. If you can't afford that. look at all the you-tubes from the site.

Overall, it's a process that takes time to learn....go slow and learn the process (and what works for you....everyone is different) at your own pace.

First there are no Dumb Questions except the one not asked, we all had to start somewhere. Great advice all around, Lynn's video is great and so are the You Tube vids, shows exactly how it is done. As for oil, I use it got some on sale and will probably use it till it is gone then might switch to something else and if you worried about bad taste...Don't put it in your mouth. I use Alum block after a bit rinse then either apply balm or Pinaud after shave depends on how my skin feels. It's a personal preference thing, so Welcome and enjoy the ride.

Thank you, please continue to reply. I apresiate your input, your insights have helped me understand the prosses. I realise everyone is differant and needs to find thier own way, but there is a base line and that is what I was looking for and this is helping trumindusly.

One more question or challange how differant are the results if use your prosses and a conventional razor?

When using my multiblade I don't really bother to much about being fancy, ihave always used Palmolive soap and a brush anyway, so can't really tell you too much.
I guess the baseline, is removing hair as comfortably as you want it to be, for some that requires a pile of hot towels several stages of prep, the actual shave then some quantity of post shave. Others lather up with a plain shaving soap, shave and that's it.
Again unless you have large funds, I would take your purchases steady, remembering that some of the cheaper products are quite well received here, and if you don't like them its not the end of the world, you an always use it in the shower.
Good luck and enjoy the journey.

Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast
