Proud of you guys...
I just wanted to take a moment and tell all the guys who've signed up in the last few months that I'm really glad you're all here.
You've asked some great questions and encouraged each other. I've enjoyed watching your progress and the humor in your posts.
Some of you may already know that SRP had a little family squabble not too long ago, and I think the forums suffered from it.
Your participation has helped keep things lively. Keep it up.
Josh

I wasn't aware of the family squabble (and care not to know). I've enjoyed this place greatly --I avoid other forums because of the rudeness and arrogance of people. I think I've found some new friends no matter how virtual they are and have learned a lot. I say keep a little humor in the posts and everything's alright ---I'll do my part. Here's to y'all.

No, no, no...Thank YOU!
I am one of the Newbies Josh is referencing...I joined SRP about one month ago. The friendly atmosphere and all the help and advice everyone has given me so far has been wonderful. I am just getting ready to make my purchases in order to get my first straight razor shave ever under my belt. I will continue to read posts and post my own questions and eagerly await your answers as has been my M.O. And don't worry - I will definitely make a post for my first shave.
PS - I also do not know about the squabble, but as long as everything is good at this point, that's all I care about.
Thank you to Lynn and everbody else for being so friendly and welcoming - it makes a guy like me with no experience straight shaving feel great!

This has quickly become one of my favorite forums, there's really a great group of people here with a lot of knowledge and willingness to help. It's also nice to see a vendor community that is so involved with the people and producing such fine products as well and does both the group and the vendors a lot of credit. It really makes it nice as a newbie to know that if there's a problem they're willing to jump right in a help out along with everyone else. Also thanks to JoshEarl for making so many inexpensive shave-ready razors available to help make people's introduction to this hobby a successful one.
Shaving has become a lot less of a chore and more something I look forward to every time I do it and I know that probably wouldn't be the case if it wasn't for this site..... so thanks to everyone, especially Lynn.

Thanked: 0I want to say thanks to everyone involved in this site also! This is THE place to be when it comes to anything straight related.
All the posts i have made have been sooooo helpful, and most replies come in about 10 minutes. It's that real passion of the people on this site to help others that makes it something special. We really are very lucky!!
This really is an invaluable site for reference, and you just have to ask if your unsure on anything, no matter how simple the answer! I too went from considering going back to the Cach 3, to absolutely willing my beard to grow so i can spend that hour on the best way to shave!
SRP is a really great place,
to find out how to get a smooth face,
wade and butcher, or a dubl duck
Just ask a question if you feel stuck
Just a jolly poem for you to sing whilst at work or even in the shower, or, whilst lathering up. It really is quite versatile!
ok ok i'm done!!!

WOW, you are a gentleman! I could have found many words to follow 'duck' and none of them would have been 'stuck'! Next you'll come up with a nice poem ending in Nantucket!
Seriously, I love this forum too. I've never really belonged and contributed to any other site. SRP is a top-notch place with many experienced shavers that are very willing to share opinions and thoughts!

I'm another of the 'newbies'. I've asked some dumb questions and I know I have alot of dumb questions left in me. I appreciate your giving us a helping hand, and likewise, if there were any "family squabbles" I certainly wouldn't have known by the friendliness of the people who are left.
To Fud, who's giving me a hand-up, and all the rest of the senior members ( to me everyone's a senior member who's been here longer tan a month) I owe you a big thanks!
