Default First shave with my ugly duckling.... Then some scotch

So I figured I would share with everyone, that gave me such great advice. That after my catastrophe with my factory honed dovo. And my noob attempt to hone a brand new dovo as my first test. So at the advice of my new found Internet friends my dovo is currently in the skilled hands of Lynn and in the mean time I purchased a ugly ducking from whipped dog. It came in the mail today, so what better time to shave then now. This was my first SR shave coming from a shavette, so I figured it would be a good idea to just do a 1 pass WTG and I am amazed at what a properly honed edge can do. All the issues I've been having with my shavette disappeared mainly because of the longer blade edge I'm not cutting myself on the tip of It. I am trying to teach my self to shave with both hands since I've been only using my right hand, so I did my face with left and right then about 30% of my neck with my left then finished up with the right. So I'm pretty content with that plus I walked away unscathed so it was a good shave an time to celebrate with some scotch.

Congratulations, you are off to a good start! Keep it up you will be surprised with your progress. Next time you might even consider a smaller iceberg for your beverage. Good luck and keep us posted please.

I love my giant ice cube tray just one lasts the whole beverage and doesn't melt to excessively

How did you find the edge Larry put on it? I got a Dovo from him recently and found the edge wasn't there for me. Idk, maybe it's just my coarse beard.

Well it was certainly not as sharp as my shavette With an Astra blade on it. But it was sharper then my factory edge dovo. Keep in mind this is my first SR that I completed a full pass on. So my feel for an edge pretty much goes. From Gillette fusion to shavette to my dovo.

I'd be curious to hear how your Dovo feels in comparison when you get it back from Lynn.
