Apart from what's already been said, the only thing I'd add is to try flipping the blade more with your fingers and less by turning your wrist over. When I recorded myself stropping for the Stroptober thread (which I *highly* recommend checking out: http://straightrazorpalace.com/strop...st-2012-a.html ) I was surprised to see how much I was turning my wrist. When I addressed that, I found I had more control of the blade and the whole thing generally went better.
But otherwise I'd say you're doing fine.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Thanked: 485It looks fine to me, but possibly a little too much pressure on the canvas side; you appear to be going lighter on the leather. 30/70 is a good mix (30 canvas 70 leather) for me.
BTW, I note you adjusting the strop at its anchor point to ensure it's parallel to the ground, this is a good idea. How have you anchored it? I find a carabiner works well. Make sure you start off slow when new to stropping, going quickly will give no benefit (other than reduced time to strop) and may lead to more errors.
The strop itself looks fine.Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

My strop looks worse than that, and it still works fine.

from the vid it looks like a heavier stroke back towards you. Also you are using your wrist to flip razor and not fingers. This vid shows awesome technique and helped me heaps 110103-193326.wmv - YouTube
