    Default Honing oil for storage.

    Is it okay to use Lansky honing oil as an oil to coat and store my SR with? I cant see why not.

    Not sure about the lanksy oil. But i use ballistol after every shave for my razors. I even use it on my hones, so i guess you could call it honing oil too?

    Pretty much any oil as long as it's not a type that can go rancid will do. Of course this is for short term protection. Long term storage would require something better suited.

    No. Honing oil is too light. Find an oil with more viscosity that will adhere to the steel. If all else fails, use gun oil... even 3 in 1.
