Is it okay to use Lansky honing oil as an oil to coat and store my SR with? I cant see why not.

Not sure about the lanksy oil. But i use ballistol after every shave for my razors. I even use it on my hones, so i guess you could call it honing oil too?

Pretty much any oil as long as it's not a type that can go rancid will do. Of course this is for short term protection. Long term storage would require something better suited.

Thanked: 57No. Honing oil is too light. Find an oil with more viscosity that will adhere to the steel. If all else fails, use gun oil... even 3 in 1.
