Doesn't shaving in the Brisbane climate hurt like hell? I got a clout from a friendly old lady at the tourism booth for having a 'Pom's Nose' and I had full block on! 'Yer as burnt as the Sydney suburbs in January' little harsh I though but I did appreciate the warning! Flaming Gallah!
Yeah, Broncos did well this year, again. I don't often get burnt anymore - wearing a hat and sunblock is the key. "Slip, Slop, Slap - slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen and slap on a hat!"

Is it me or has this thread turned into gibberish? The question is why, is it something about this particular thread or is this a general trend, sort of an entropy thing? Soldiering on, let's pray that it's just an Australian thing and that the Hungarians, Irish and Basques don't get motivated!

I think it has turned into what is has because there really isn't much left to be said. Rgdominguez, you have a good idea and have brought up some good points and everyone with more critical opinions has piped in --now all that's really left is try to make a new improved standard as you've mentioned or just settle on things as they are. Really, this kind of has turned into a roundabout if you will. So what's next?
    Sincerely,

    Justin

A hundred replies and over 1,500 views later, I guess that the membership has shown an interest in the topic, to say the least! I propose that we settle in on a monofilament line of 0.007" diameter. Dai-Riki 4X tippet material for fly lines is one such material. Anyone interested please buy a spool or any monofilament of 0.007" diameter and try out the test. When you have something to report please post it here. I'll let some time go by and then I'll do my best to collect the data and condense it into a report which I will post here. I believe that something useful for all of us will result.

I for one will see what I can do. Hope things turn out to be of use.
