Fixing a chip? Honing? Proper stropping? Adding salt scrub? Pre shave oil? Perfect lather? Proper angle? Right amount of pressure? Stretching the skin ? Do you plan on juggling at the same time your doing all this for your 3rd shave? :<0) You need to back off on the throttle and take it easy some my friend. Yeah!!! no blood yet.

As this didn't happen last shave cut out what you changed and keep it simple. Make sure the lather stays moist and go slow. Its like honing rush it and you'll ruin it. Take it slow and practice and soon your there. Good luck

It's the hard water! Find a friend with a water softener and get a jug. Use it to rinse your face when getting out of the shower then make your shaving creme with it. Slickery is the term! Like an ice cube sliding across a wet counter.

Excellent suggestion! I have gallons of the stuff and our tap water IS hard as can be. Destroyed my first espresso maker (which is why I now stock gallons of it). I'll try it this morning!
