ATG easier by switching non-dominant hand?
Curious how some of you experienced guys approach the various non-WTG moves. Practicing with my taped test-razor indicates that it's much easier to swap to non-dominant hand for some strokes. For instance, going Ear to Nose on the right cheek falls very easily to hand if the razor is in my left hand. Super awkward if in the right.
How do you guys approach the various non-WTG strokes?

Thanked: 3228There is really no hard and fast best way to approach the different strokes, you have to see which works best for you. Going ear to nose on my right side I do as you do but change that to nose to ear on the right side the right hand gets the job. Going ATG I am right handed all the way.

As BobH mentioned, you do what works for you.
I shave my right side ATG (upward strokes) with my (non-dominant) left hand. I do the left side with my right hand. The XTG shaves (ear to nose on right side, nose to ear on left side, upwards diagonally on the neck areas, & towards the nose in the mustache area) are done with only my right hand. I also do any finishing touches with my right hand, no matter what direction the shave. You can take the boy out of NY, but you can't take NY out of the boy.
