No, that's not what I meant - the reference was to the tradition that the barber uses just one side whereas anyone shaving themselves was not bound by the same thing. I have no idea whether this is true or not - just as I don't see the point of the condescending reference to Godzilla.

I don't think he meant anything condescending with "believe in Godzilla". I took it as a humorous reference to an imaginary creature (Easter Bunny, etc) that had ties with Japan (seeing as we're discussing kamisoris).

Japanese women have tendency to love serving their man. I would suspect they too could give a nice shave. Not sure about the modern day and refuse to go there in open forum :<0)
