    Cool 7th shave of a 7th shave

My 1st razor remains in the capable hands of SRD. Note to self-buy razor where and when you can, you'll need them.

Recently, I became the benefactor of a 2nd razor. That's right, somebody here at SRP contacted me and send me a freshly honed razor *gratis*! Definitely a good guy. PMs back and forth. Talk about paying it forward, I can't wait to be in the same position to do the same for another. Big on ya.

    Now to the shave.

    Prep
    -shower
-Thayer's superhazel allowed to dry on face while I towel off(1st time I used this step)
    -warm water to face
    -rub in shave oil
-slightly wet face again and lather(I forgot to massage the lather into my beard. WHoops)
-hot face cloth to face for 2 minutes
-re-wet face and lather up the right side
-drain warm water and start running the cold

    Shave:
-SHAVE CHALLENGE-note, I didn't say test. One stroke from the top of my ear to the bottom of my neckline. No tugs, no pulls. Smooth. Muuuuch better than the razor I sent off to be fixed(It was never this sharp and I messed it up stropping)
-Repeatedly rinsed the razor in cold to finish the WTG on the right side, mustache, and chin. Coupe de maitre with a 5/8 was easy compared to the 6/8 I sent off. I was able to perform the manuever to the top of my upper lip with one stroke. Sweet!
-splash whole face with cold water(1st time not using warm and it feels a whole lot better to me)
-lather the right side and finish the WTG starting with the SHAVE CHALLENGE
-cold wet whole face and re-lather, preparing for what my face seems to dictacte ATG/XTG combinations of strokes for the various areas of my face.

    Post:
-rinse with cold water and pat dry
    -Thayer's superhazel
    -no cartridge follow up

I managed to nick myself once as I allowed the razor to approach my face at foolish speed. Styptic to the rescue. I stopped, as I felt I had gone far enough and had a pretty decent shave. I noted to myself NO BURNING or IRRITATION *and* I didn't feel I even needed to follow up with a cartridge pass.

I will admit that I omitted the chin and mustache area from an ATG pass, but I felt like I accomplished enough and had done an adequate job with my XTG passes in that area.

Absolutely best shave yet and I could not have done it without <nameless>.

<nameless>, big on ya, man! Thanks again.

ps-the pressure is on me now to strop this razor right. SRD is backed up in the honing dept and I don't expect to see my first for a few weeks.

Not understanding the title of your post but sounds like you're a happy slicer!

Its a long shot here, but I'm guessing the OP is on about a 7th shave or something.
