Thanked: 485Hi there, welcome to the forum. In reply to your questions:
1. Stropping will give you a BIT of a better shave. That is, stropping won't change the razor's edge remarkably, but it's necessary to strop before and after each shave. If you DON'T strop, the edge will degrade due to minor rusting of the edge, stropping maintains the razor's edge, though not indefinitely, and do it gently.
2. No. STROP it before you use it again. Slowly and carefully. There is a thread here you should look at, and it has some good videos. Don't try to strop too rapidly and do it gently. Basically stropping technique is the same as making love; slow and gentle not vigorous and fast. ;-)
3. Yes, it does.
CarlStranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Welcome, as Carl said don't Hone the razor, it's more likely technique than sharpness that's giving you trouble. As well as prep, skin stretching is important, along with angle and good moist lather.
