Default Straight shave # 4 first nearly bloodless shave :-)

Thanks to all of the advise from the forum, I have improved dramaticly this week

Shave #1 - extreme razor burn, a few "accessory" lines on my face - kinda wondering if they messed up honing my new razor ( dovo prima klang )
read some more in the forums and vowed to try and use a lighter stroke

Shave #2 - slight razor burn, quite a few more lines on my face but a better shave. still no clue how to do my neck
read more in the forums and discovered two great gems of wisdom - do not try to shave the hair, just try to remove the lather, pay a lot more attention to stretching the skin

Shave #3 - with the lessons from yesterday and the advise, first shave with no razor burn, but alas, the most serious blood so far, got a little cocky, let my attention drift and bam blood running down my chin and left cheekm- except for the blood, not a bad shave, but nothing great on my neck
read some more, came up with the gem of having the razor moving before it touches skin

Shave #4 - with yesterdays lessons - first day no LINES on my face, slight razor burn from going for a third pass, a little bit of a weeper on right check, but minor ( and my perenially bleeding left ear lobe - starting to wonder if it will be surgically removed before long ) cheek's BBS neck...... not bad and not bleeding. Time......30 min from Hot water to aftershave

I am very encouraged. The one part of the advise i have read that I am unable to follow is just do your cheek for a while....... it is just how i am put together, but i am trying not to push it, if i can not figure out how to shave something, i will try, but am willing to let it be if what i try isnt working

Thank you for all the advise. I have a long way togo but am honestly very happy with my results so far

Light light light stroke, have razor moving in short strokes before blade is on my face, shallow angle on the blade, and stretch that skin ( i will be working on figuring this one out for a long time) - RULE # 1 do NOT let your attention drift. blood WILL follow

Good to hear of your success! As to the drifting attention, children and pets are very good distractors
    I want a lather whip

Close and lock the door. Let them kill each other. Only the shave matters.
