Boar brush knots or stiff badger knots
A friend is making a brush handle for me, I was wondering if anyone knows a supplier that will sell boar brush knots or stiff badger knots by them selves? We will be able to complete the brush after I know the size to boar out of the end after purchasing a knot.

The only ones I've ever seen are by Northwoods Woodcraft
I've not looked very hard though. I'm sure someone will post up some links with more options in no time.

I've never purchased or used their products, but check with Blankity Blanks.

Hi,
I'm not sure you found what you were looking for. We have 25mm in Best Badger and Super (Slivertip) Badger as well.
You can PM me for additional info.

"But he wasn't here when I made my own brush."
I'm here now...
Here are some shot of the knots (in an alt Ivory Handle).
25mm Silvertip
25mm Best Badger
We sell them less than the competition and ship them for free.

Thanked: 4942So far, the Shavemac 28 and 30mm knots are the absolute best brushes I have ever experienced. Simply awesome.

The 25mm knot sounds good I like the longer stiffer one on the bottom will send you a PM when ready. My friend lives in Wyoming and won't be down here for a week or so to finish the turning of the handles so give me a few weeks.
Lynn I agree the Shavemacs are nice but not quite in my budget yet. Going to make this one.
