Welcome Kentriv. This is a really addictive hobby. I started straight shaving in November and I already have 10 straight razors. I'm trying to stop really but I can't help myself. I wish you more luck than me.

On a side note, good going at purchasing the Mama Bear English Leather. Its easily the best scent of any soap/cream that I have.

Hello, my name is John and I'm an addict.

"Hello John", "We love you John", "It's OK"

It all started so innocently. Then I thought, I'll just go on eBay and buy one more cheap razor to practice on. If one is good, two is better, right?

Maybe I should start restoring them? You know, so I can get cheaper ones on eBay and make them usable. I can save money that way. I'll just need a hone or three, a Dremel, some polish, maybe a display case...

Ooh, what's this. I NEED a Moss scuttle. It sounds barbaric not to have one.

lol, anyway, have fun. I am. - John

    Smile Welcome, Kentriv

It's a great thing to discover that male personal grooming can have such an effect on one's self esteem, but to enter into the new thought process associated with honing, stropping and lathering, not to mention 3" of razor sharp steel to your neck every day is a mental place that demands consideration. Those who aren't up for it will never understand, but anyone curious, as we are, stands to learn a few things which is always a good thing.

    Welcome to the club, Ken.

Welcome aboard. Hopefully you will experience smooth sailing.

You know most wouldn't admit this but even for those that have been shaving for years its like someone who uses a computer at work and uses one program all the time and they are experts with that program but that's really all they know if one minor thing goes wrong they are lost. It 's the same with most of us. We use the same routine in shaving every day for years and don't even give the shaving maneuvers a second thought it becomes second nature but I'll tell you, just change the routine and do a different manuever and we're lost too. Its like starting to shave all over again. I realized that when I started using my Japanese straight.
