Buffalo Horn Bowl
I bought a buffalo horn shaving bowl about a year ago. I love it. It's been perfect. However, I notice that over time these bowls start to chip and peel. Has anyone experienced this or know how to avoid it? Any way to condition them so they won't do this??

Thanked: 5I tend to coat most of my organic and metal supplies in a light layer of mineral oil. I'm sure that there are better ways but my antique horn scales look healthier rather than the dried out condition that they were in when I got them.
You don't have to be insane to do the things that I do, but it helps.
