Thread: Razor skipping. What to do?

    Thanks to everyone for the input. The stroptoberfest videos were very informative. I am now stropping before every shave.

    Anyway, there is a happy ending to this. I tried table stropping and then shaving with the razor in question, and it still didn't feel right so I shaved with my other razor. I saw something about stropping on newspaper, so I did that to the razor last night; then this morning I stropped and shaved with it. I have to report my best shave ever! I think I'm learning, but not sure what, maybe just bad shaving technique with a good razor, oe was able to bring back a poorly stropped edge. Either way it's fun.

    JaberCrow, Glen makes an excellent point. I am not sure about this one either — until I view the edge under a scope.
