By gosh, I think I'm getting it!
Just had another great FULL FACE shave, this time with my R. Aust 5/8, DR Harris cream and hot towels. Got all the angles right, no nicks, no cuts, and a great feel. Several scything passes.
That's 2 in 2 days with different straights...yesterday was my Dovo. After 5 months, I think I have a breakthrough.
Followed the shave with a little splash of witch hazel, then The Shave Den's vanilla bourbon after shave. Happy, happy, happy!

Most of them were diagonally, across the grain, except on the lower portions of my neck, where I dare go mostly with the grain. Originally Posted by 400E

Congrat's and keep it up!
I'm sure in a few weeks from now you'll look back and say, "Those October shaves were great...but only so-so to the one I just had!"

Nice! It comes when it comes. And don't forget two shaves in four or five days. Taller timber seems to make for still easier, cleaner shaves.
