As you've heard, every beard is different.
Perhaps try super soft passes with close attention to angles, splashing cold water on each half of your face as you pass(1/2 at a time) or every stroke at a time if it feels better. Accompany it with skin stretching and cold wet the entire face again after a full pass. Seemed to help me.
Have you had the same problems with the same routine before? Just curious.
Cheers!

Thanked: 4942Two passes should actually be enough on your shave. After this, the key is to identify those touch up spots that need to be dealt with and figure out the appropriate strokes to get rid of them. This is where the practice and learning your face comes in. Your index finger and stretching are your friends. Sometimes just a subtle change in the angle of attack or stroke can make a huge difference in picking up those antagonistic parts of the beard. In my opinion, 3 total passes in general, is over kill and can bring out the red in those with sensitive skin. Of course, YMMV..........
Have fun.
