    +1 on that grip. MUCH easier to shave S-N on the neck. Best shave so far (2 weeks in with str8).

    You guys are all on the right track with this! The neck was my biggest problem area early on (and sometimes still is if I don't make that skin taut). As Phrank mentions, always STRETCHING THE SKIN solves a multitude of issues. Conversely, not properly stretching will cause a host of problems. There's a reason that alum stick remains in everyone's shaving stash!

    I disregard whisker direction below the jawline and do a south to north pass followed by a north to south pass. I then do a few spot touchups with no lather, water only. My growth pattern below the jaw is so convoluted I'd never figure it out and if I tried to do a standard wtg, xtg method, it would take 2 hours.
