Cool Help: neck and chin are killing me. The after action review.

    Thank You Guys!!!

Wow! What a difference. Thanks for all the advice. The combination of your input resulted in my first truly fantastic shave. Me advised I have only shaven with my new(and used), "toys 5 times. This was truly the best and I know as my skills and experience grow, my shaves will be more satisfying. It was a true close shave and I could see the difference in my skin immediatly. Also no cuts or nicks and most importantly, no razor burn. I have identified my razors that are shave ready and the ones that need professional honing.

One last favor. Can you guys provide names of members who do honing? Honemeisters if you will. Thanks again!

Congrats! It may have been better to attach this thread as a post to the thread about the advice you got. You could summarize what worked on this thread or finish off the old thread. New members will want to know what advice it was that worked.

Lynn Abrams (adjustme69) does plenty and he can give more details himself. LX_Emergency does, but I am not sure if he will do other, I know that when he sells his razors, they are shave ready when he ships them out. I think the same for xman, but the best things is to ask all of these gentlemen themselves, I do not claim to speak for them in any way, so ask them personally. I am pretty sure Tony Miller and the thebigspendr do as well. There are many people here that hone their own razors for their own reasons, so ask around and find out who lives close and they might be able to help you out. On a side note, consider purchasing Lynn's DVD, great section in there about honing among other things, worth the $20 you'll spend for the DVD. Not that I am plugging for him specifically, just giving credit where it is due...

While I'm flattered that xChris included me on this list, I don't think it's quite deserved yet. I think all of these guys, and a few who aren't on the list, are still quite a ways ahead of me. Lynn's done more than 7,000 razors. I think I'm closing in on 50.

Give it a go Josh. The more you do, the better you get. I'll help you out if you get stumped.

    Have fun.
