Thanked: 1First straight razor shave in the books!!
Well I received my George W. Korn 5/8 full hollow in the mail today, bought it from the srp classifieds on a recommendation from one of the srp members thanks shooter and manah, the razor was actually better than it looked in the pics.
As for the shave it went really well, was planning on doing just the sideburns but I couldn't stop I did wtg on the whole face I wear a goatee so I didn't have to deal with the hard parts. Touched up a little on the neck and stopped not wanting to press my luck.
Was really impressed at how close of a shave I got on my cheeks, the neck wasn't bad had a couple of weepers and was about as close as I got with my first de razor. I used both hands and the left hand wasn't as awkward as I was expecting I used Proraso green and I'm sure it probably wasn't wet enough the razor didn't seem to glide but I had no razor burn so maybe it was ok.
I know this wouldn't have been this positive of an experience without the members of this site, and all of the acquired knowledge that SRP supplies, so thanks guys
Can't wait for shave 2

Keep at it, but be careful to go slow and learn as you go. If you get overconfident you can make an error you'll regret, so just stay concentrated on the part of the face at hand (blade) :-)
And welcome to the adventure!

Congrats on the good first shave. Keep aware during you next one.
Keep your concentration high and your angles low!
Despite the high cost of living, it's still very popular.
